ISO 45001 and ISO 14001

The most comprehensive Environmental, Health and Safety Management Program in the Industry

Skanska uses an ISO 45001- and 14001-certified Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management System. The system is built on the foundation of Plan>Do>Check>Act and ensures we plan and perform work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. It also has built-in checks to allow for continuous improvement.

The ISO 45001 certification means Skanska has met the international requirements for an effective EHS management system. The certification also supports and underscores our top management’s commitment to Care for Life as they create, maintain and monitor efforts to reduce occupational injuries and improve safety.

Our ISO 14001 certification represents Skanska’s commitment to consistent environmental performance and continuous improvement. We run our jobsites using sustainable principles tailored to the needs of each project, with third-party verification. Skanska’s ISO 14001 certification program has been recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council.

For each project, we develop and implement a site-specific Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) manual and plan for the safety of all those associated with the project on a daily basis.
