Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel Expansion

SEATTLE, WASkanska, a leading global construction and development firm, today announced the successful completion of the Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel, transforming “Seattle’s Closest Casino” into a world-class hotel destination. This major milestone marks the culmination of a multi-phase expansion that began in 2022 and introduces a new 210-room luxury hotel, an expanded gaming floor, and new 2,000-seat entertainment and convention center.

The comprehensive hotel expansion also features 22,000 square feet of ballroom space that can be subdivided into six areas, 10,000 square feet of meeting and breakout rooms, a full-service destination spa, and an indoor pool with an adjacent outdoor deck. Additional guest amenities include two new signature restaurants, coffee and pastry shops, and a new Hawks Peak sports bar featuring 66 TVs and an outdoor patio offering panoramic views of the Snoqualmie Valley.

A new 1,500-stall parking garage will improve guest access and support future growth. Designed in partnership with Bergman Walls & Associates, the hotel architectural elements reflect the Snoqualmie Tribe’s ancestral heritage, including a contemporary slant roof hotel design inspired by traditional longhouses and curated artwork throughout the property to enrich the cultural experience.

“Delivering a project of this scale and complexity required collaboration, agility, and deep respect for our partners and the Snoqualmie Tribe,” said Lew Guerrette, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Skanska USA Building in Seattle. “From the earliest stages of design through final completion, this expansion reflects a shared commitment to honoring the Tribe’s vision, enriching the guest experience, and creating lasting benefits for the local economy and community.”

The expansion creates nearly 350 new permanent jobs and is expected to significantly boost regional tourism and hospitality revenue. Tribal enterprises already support more than 1,700 jobs throughout the Snoqualmie Valley, and the hotel expansion builds on the Tribe’s commitment to economic sovereignty and cultural preservation.

“The grand opening marks the beginning of a new era for the Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel as we bring to the Snoqualmie Valley a new destination filled with luxury, relaxation and fun filled excitement,” said Mary Lou Patterson, CEO of Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel.  “It was an unforgettable day for our team, the Snoqualmie Tribe, and our community – and we’re just getting started.”

Skanska’s work on the Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel spans more than 18 years, having originally delivered the 185,000-square-foot casino and integrated 300,000-square-foot parking structure in 2008. That early partnership helped establish the foundation for today’s expanded destination hotel—built with the same commitment to quality, cultural alignment, and community impact.

The Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel was delivered through a collaborative effort led by Skanska, working alongside a robust team of trusted partners. Bergman Walls & Associates served as the project architect, with the Cumming Group acting as the owner’s representative throughout the development. Key consultants included FEA for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; CKC for structural engineering; and WSP for geotechnical services. Several valued subcontractors contributed to the successful delivery of the project, including Prime Electric, MacDonald-Miller, Harmon Glass, Patriot Fire Protection, KHSS, Sessler Drywall, and McKinstry, among others.

The hotel’s grand hotel opening is scheduled for August 8, welcoming guests into the new hospitality experience for the first time.
