New European-inspired concept from Balos Restaurant Group and For Five Coffee Roasters will open first Virginia location in Spring 2025
ARLINGTON, VA – Skanska, a global leader in development and construction, today announced The Angie, an elegant, American French bistro concept from the Balos Restaurant Group and For Five Coffee Roasters, has signed a lease at 3901 Fairfax. The new restaurant will occupy 5,700 square feet of the building’s ground-floor retail space and will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
“We’re excited to announce the opening of The Angie, our third restaurant and first collaboration with Skanska. This partnership has brought our vision of elevated American French dining to life," said Stefanos Vouvoudakis, co-founder of The Angie and For Five Coffee Roasters. “Together with Tom Tsiplakos and Joe Ragonese of Balos Restaurant Group, we’ve created a space that celebrates culinary excellence and innovative beverages. We’re confident The Angie will become the area's go-to destination for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We can’t wait to welcome you!”
The Angie will offer alfresco dining with 162 seats, a full-service bar, barista bar, lounge, operable windows, and a private dining room. The menu will offer traditional European dishes with an upscale, American twist; highlights include ricotta ravioli with kalamata olives and basil oil, lobster frites with roasted garlic butter crust and hand-cut fries and roasted Dover sole.
“The Angie will bring an elevated dining experience to 3901 Fairfax. It will be the perfect spot for tenants and the surrounding community to enjoy exceptional food and hospitality with a relaxed and spacious alfresco feel,” said Mark Carroll, Executive Vice President and Regional Manager of Skanska USA Commercial Development’s D.C. market.
The Angie is scheduled to open Spring 2025. Papadopoulous Properties represented The Angie, while H&R Retail represented Skanska in the transaction. Inquiries for remaining retail space may be directed to Brad Buslik, Sebastian Restifo, and Harper Sigman.
Delivered in September 2024, 3901 Fairfax is Northern Virginia's first WELL precertified building. 3901 Fairfax is located next to Quincy Park and provides convenient access to the Ballston and Virginia Square Metro stations, Reagan National Airport, I-66, Route 50 and various bike-share stations.
