Skanska Promotes Rob Johnson to Vice President of Operations in Tennessee

Skanska has announced that Rob Johnson, an industry veteran with 20 years of experience in commercial construction, has been promoted to vice president of operations in Tennessee.

Johnson, who is based in Skanska’s Nashville office, joined the company in 2004 and was most recently a project executive. He has served on the construction team for a variety of major projects including Fifth + Broadway, Lifeway Christian Resources, HCA Capital View, University of Kentucky Gatton, University of Kentucky Commonwealth and the Williamson Medical Center Surgery and Children’s Addition.

In a leadership position at Fifth + Broadway since 2014, Johnson has spearheaded the construction of one of the largest single mixed-use development in Tennessee’s history.

“Since joining Skanska in 2004, Rob has demonstrated his value as a leader. He is successful because he can adapt to a variety of challenging project types,” said Dennis Georgatos, executive vice president and general manager for Skanska’s Tennessee construction operations. “We welcome him into this role and look forward to his contributions as Skanska continues to elevate our construction operations here in Nashville.”

Johnson is originally from Mississippi and attended Mississippi State University. He is OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certified and also holds certifications in injury-free environment (IFE) training and first aid. He currently resides in Nashville with his wife and children.
