Led by our Vendor Diversity group, Skanska USA Building strives to achieve mutually beneficial supplier relationships built on shared values, behaviors and constructive dialogue. We pride ourselves on our long-standing relationships with small and diverse business owners extending decades in many cases. Doing business with and serving as a partner to bolster the economic capacity of small and diverse businesses is core to who we are and imbedded in our culture and values.
We are a learning organization; thus, we generously share our expertise with these firms through our Construction Management Building Blocks® (CMBB) program and our Executive CMBB program. Through the CMBB/ECMBB programs, Skanska USA Building continues to prepare, advise, guide, educate and mentor small and diverse businesses to assist with their success in today’s construction industry. Over the last eight years, we have graduated more than 700 small and diverse firms from these programs. They are some of the best partners we have on our jobsites, and we consider them to be integral to our present and future success.
Having professional and personal relationships with numerous small business owners, I am acutely aware of the challenges they face even in the best economies to succeed and grow their business with limited resources. I’m proud of our organization and people for sharing our experience and resources to support these partner companies. The reality is we learn from them as much as they learn from us. When they succeed, we succeed.
