Commitment

Skanska has been a pioneering member of the green construction and development community for over 20 years. We partner with organizations seeking to transform the industry, and we are active participants in researching and deploying sustainable construction practices.

On our own development projects, we target a minimum of LEED® Gold, with many projects achieving LEED Platinum. We develop high-quality, energy efficient, and innovative projects that deliver exceptional operational performance while creating spaces that enable the people who live and work there to thrive.

We report our carbon emissions in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, are accountable to our Environmental Policy, and are required by our ISO 14001 certification to continually improve our environmental performance. Each Skanska project is supported by our dedicated team of accredited professionals and sustainability experts.

Skanska Group Climate Target

Skanska has set ambitious climate targets across our global operations. We aim to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2045 within our own operations and across our entire value chain.

Advocates for Change

We proudly partner with and support like-minded industrial, community and academic organizations pursuing research to move the green building industry forward.

Project Certification

Skanska has delivered over 44 million square feet of space that has been certified across several systems including LEED, Envision, Green Globes, Fitwel and Living Building Challenge. We are actively engaged with many of these rating systems, lending our expertise to their ongoing development.
