Leading contractor positioned for growth as Senior Vice President Larry Casey also relocates to Southern California
Skanska announced a series of personnel moves for its building business unit that immediately strengthen its Los Angeles office team and position the company for aggressive growth in the market.
First, Skanska has hired Tom Neary to the position of Vice President, Business Development. Neary has more than 30 years of experience in the construction and real estate industries, most recently nearly 17 years with local contractor Morley Builders. He is active in several local, regional and national organizations including Urban Land Institute’s Los Angeles District Council, the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, the Santa Monica Conservancy, the California Preservation Foundation, LAMP Community, and the Society of Marketing Professional Services. Tom is a graduate of the University of Nebraska.
Additionally, Skanska has hired Tess da Silva as a Project Executive. She brings more than 20 years of experience and leadership in construction management and program management. She has significant experience in a variety of market sectors, most notably in the government and education construction markets. She was previously with Lend Lease and is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
Joining these new hires is Skanska’s Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing Larry Casey. Casey, a member of Skanska’s Senior Leadership Team, is relocating to the region from South Florida. He will continue in his role overseeing Skanska’s national accounts and business development efforts while supporting the California operations team with a focus on the aviation, healthcare, hospitality, commercial and higher education markets.
“We feel these moves enable us to best serve clients in southern California,” said Skanska USA Building Executive Vice President and General Manager Bruce Holms. “I’m excited to have such talented people join us and bolster what is already a strong operations team in the region.”
