Free Supply Chain Sustainability School platform addresses compliance, supplier diversity, sustainable procurement, among other topics

NEW YORK, NY – Skanska USA, a leading global construction and development firm, today announced its partnership efforts to launch the Supply Chain Sustainability School in the United States. The Supply Chain Sustainability School, with over 12 years of experience and a strong reputation in the UK, Ireland, and Australia, has trained more than 137,000 individuals and earned the trust of 30,000 companies. Building on this success, the institute is now focused on expanding its impact in the US, empowering industry professionals through collaboration and shared expertise. Skanska USA is a founding partner, which underscores Skanska’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and supplier diversity.
"Skanska is committed to leading the charge toward a more sustainable construction industry,” said Myrrh Caplan, senior VP of sustainability for Skanska USA Building. “Our partnership with the Supply Chain Sustainability School provides invaluable resources and education that not only enhances business growth but also ensures compliance with critical regulations. By joining forces with other school partners, we aim to set new industry standards in sustainability and elevate our workforce’s expertise.”
The U.S. based school platform will provide free learning opportunities, facilitate knowledge sharing, and promote a collaborative approach to addressing critical sustainability challenges, including energy and carbon, sustainability reporting, environmental management, waste and circular economy, biodiversity, community engagement, and supplier diversity.
"Skanska recognizes the importance of sustainable practices throughout the entire supply chain," said Mason Ford, Director of equipment services for Skanska USA Civil. "The Supply Chain Sustainability School gives its students tools to keep up with growing demands of the construction industry and the need for a sustainable supply chain. As founding partners, Skanska looks to promote these resources to our subcontractors and prospective subcontractors to better integrate sustainable practices into their work on infrastructure projects."
The Supply Chain Sustainability School will offer access to hundreds of accredited online training sessions and valuable e-learning resources. Companies interested in collaborating with industry peers to shape the School's development for the U.S. supply chain are encouraged to become Partners.
