CONNERSVILLE, IN - Skanska, Shook Construction, and Reid Health celebrated the topping out ceremony on December 18 for the $100 million Reid Health campus in Connersville, Indiana. This milestone marks the placement of the final beam on the two-story, 106,715-square-foot facility, bringing the project one step closer to completion.
The new campus, located at 2500 Park Road, represents a transformative investment in healthcare for Fayette County. Once complete, the facility will include a modern emergency department, radiology and lab services, and a wide range of primary and specialty care options, including cardiology, OB/GYN, and oncology. With over 400 parking spaces and the county’s first helipad in 30 years, the campus will significantly enhance healthcare accessibility and economic growth in the region.
“The Connersville and Fayette County communities have significant health needs, and this new facility will help us to meet those needs for many years to come,” said Craig Kinyon, Reid Health President and CEO. “We’re thrilled to have Skanska and Shook Construction as our partners on a project of such importance to Reid and to those we serve.”
The new campus replaces Reid Health’s outdated facility on Virginia Avenue, which was built over a century ago. With its completion anticipated in 2026, the project will deliver state-of-the-art care, reinforcing Reid Health’s promise to provide quality healthcare to Fayette County residents.

The topping out ceremony is a long-standing tradition in construction, symbolizing progress and achievement in reaching the highest point of the structure. Attendees included representatives from Reid Health, local officials, board members, and the teams from Skanska and Shook Construction.
