New York, NY, (September 26, 2022) – Skanska USA, a leading global construction and development firm, announces that Maritza Ferreira has been promoted to vice president of communications for Civil (USC) operations.
In her new role, Ferreira will be responsible for USC national communications and serve as a member of the USC senior management team. She will work with national operational and professional service groups, including managing the East region markets, to develop and execute collaborative internal and external communications strategies that contribute to and advance business objectives.
“Maritza is a born communicator and collaborator who is passionate and gifted at sharing stories about our people and projects,” said Cynthia Eng, senior vice president and head of USA communications shared services. “As an authentic leader and tactical thinker, she will be a tremendous asset in shaping and executing Skanska’s civil operations communications strategy.”
Ferreira joined Skanska in 2019 bringing 15 years of experience leading communications and government affairs efforts in the higher education private and public sectors. During her tenure at Skanska, she has supported and counseled the USA’s Southeast and Midwest markets, helping to drive business goals through strategic communications, brand awareness, public affairs and reputation management.
Ferreira holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and an MBA from American InterContinental University.
