Erin Willis-Freedman to Succeed Brad Nystrom Who Becomes Vice President of Operations

New York, August 3, 2021 – Skanska USA, a leading global construction and development firm, announces the promotion of Erin Willis-Freedman to vice president of human resources for Skanska USA’s Civil operations.
Erin Willis-Freedman joined Skanska in 2009 as an HR administrator, and most recently served as the HR Business Partner for Skanska’s Northeast Civil operations. In her new role, she is assuming national responsibilities and leading all human resources programs, policies and processes for Skanska USA’s Civil operations.

With 14 years of experience in talent acquisition and human capital management, Willis-Freedman has overseen payroll and benefits administration, compliance, and risk management. She is also well-regarded for her strong background and skills in employee relations.

Willis-Freedman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. John’s University.
Willis-Freedman succeeds Brad Nystrom who is now vice president of operations for Skanska’s Civil West region. Nystrom has worked at Skanska for 19 years in various roles within operations and human resources. During his most recent time as vice president of human resources, he spearheaded significant initiatives and helped launch Skanska’s Civil operations’ national D&I Steering Committee.

Nystrom holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
