Skanska, a global construction and development firm, has promoted Melissa Faulkner as Senior Vice President, Head of USA Information Technology (IT) Shared Services, reporting to Richard Kennedy, Executive Vice President of Skanska AB and President and Chief Executive Officer of Skanska USA.
As the Head of USA IT Shared Services, Faulkner will be responsible for enterprise-wide technology strategies across three operating units in the U.S. She will also oversee the national IT organization and advance Skanska’s IT architecture and design systems, risk management and security, platform optimization, and corporate IT governance.
Faulkner, a 16-year construction industry veteran is promoted to this role and succeeds John Dykstra who announced his retirement earlier this year. Prior to taking on this role, she has held multiple executive leadership positions within the organization, most recently as the Vice President of IT. She led strategic company-wide technology initiatives, large-scale platform migrations and negotiated some of the largest contracts in the organization’s IT portfolio.

Faulkner joins Cynthia Eng (Communications), Lena Ulvi (Human Resources), and Paul Haining (Environmental Health and Safety) as executive leaders of Skanska USA Shared Services.
