Skanska has signed a contract with Montgomery County to build a multi-purpose event center (MPEC) in Clarksville, Tennessee. The contract is worth $73 million, which will be included in the US order bookings for the first quarter 2021.
The project is a 250,000-SF multi-purpose event venue accommodating Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s and women’s basketball programs, ice hockey, concerts and other civic and entertainment functions. The main arena will accommodate more than 5,000 seats, and includes suites and concessions areas. The venue will have two sheets of ice for hockey with supporting locker rooms, an APSU practice court, and APSU locker rooms and meeting rooms.
Construction has already begun, and the project is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2022.
