Orlando, FL, (August 21, 2018) – Skanska USA, one of the world’s leading construction and development firms, announces that Mandy Weitknecht joined the company as Vice President of Business Development for building operations in Central Florida.
In her new position, Weitknecht will support business development activities and lead sales and marketing efforts in the Central Florida region. She will also facilitate project planning with building owners, developers and investors, providing timeline and cost forecasts and recommending design professionals and turnkey services.

Brown, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Skanska Florida’s building operations. “Her expertise leading business development efforts and experience working in Florida’s key sectors, including healthcare, higher education, entertainment and government, make her a tremendous asset as we focus on growing our footprint in the Central Florida market.”
Prior to joining Skanska, Weitknecht worked for HOK Inc. for the past eight years in the firm’s Tampa office, where she was responsible for business development efforts across Florida. Before that, she served as business development and marketing manager for an Orlando-based project management firm.
A native of Orlando, Weitknecht’s familiarity with the region will help her lead efforts to grow Skanska’s market presence. She is currently pursuing her Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR), has sat on several professional organizations’ board of directors, and is a LEED Green Associate as certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Weitknecht earned a bachelor of science degree in Marketing and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
