HOUSTON – Skanska USA has announced that Matt McCaffrey, PE, LEED AP, has been promoted to project executive in Houston.
Project Executive, Matt McCaffrey

McCaffrey, who joined Skanska in 2003 as an intern and most recently served as a senior project manager, has been a part of the management team on several large projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in San Antonio, and on complex hospital renovations in Michigan.  In this new role, he will continue to oversee construction of Skanska’s recently announced Capitol Tower, a 35-story Class-A office development in Downtown Houston.

“Since joining Skanska nearly 15 years ago, Matt has grown to be a dynamic leader and a valued member of our organization,” said Brian Freeman, executive vice president and general manager for Skanska’s Texas construction operations. “We look forward to his contributions in this expanded role and know that he will continue to elevate Skanska’s performance and project portfolio, not just here in Houston, but across the state.”

McCaffrey, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in Construction Management from Lawrence Tech University, is a Certified Healthcare Constructor with the American Hospital Association, LEED Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council, and a licensed professional engineer in the state of Michigan.
