STEP – Skanska Top Executive Program
STEP is designed specifically for Skanska's top executives to foster a collaborative and integrated culture, to build knowledge of our business and strategy, to create value in the marketplace and to develop managers into business leaders. STEP is a tailor made program developed in cooperation with two of the world's leading business schools, IMD and Ivey.
Skanska Stretch
Skanska Stretch is a global leadership program for Skanska’s future leaders. The goal is to build knowledge and leadership capabilities to increase the ability to take on greater responsibilities and lead in an international environment, as well as to build an international network for knowledge sharing and business development.
Skanska Unlimited
Discover the Skanska world through our exciting employee exchange program. This is a great opportunity to work in another business unit or job function, either in the U.S. or internationally, for a period of three to six months.
Continuing professional development
We work with professional bodies and support our people to reach the highest levels in their chosen careers by becoming members of associated bodies.
Support can include financial assistance, through our network of professional people, or by putting a structured framework in place.
We also support continuing professional development, so people continue to grow and lead the way in their chosen fields.
Mentoring and coaching
At Skanska, we expect a lot from our employees in terms of continuous growth and development. Mentoring is an important supplement to both on-the-job training and formal training programs. Our knowledge lies in the technical and functional skills that enable us to do our jobs, and also in our processes and ways of working, how we lead and manage others, and how we make the best decisions. Skanska employees have a wealth of knowledge in all of these areas, and mentoring is one of the most effective ways to accelerate the transfer of that knowledge, to the benefit of both you and our organization.
