Peak 10, a hybrid IT infrastructure provider offering colocation interconnection cloud and managed IT services, added a fifth data center in Franklin Tennessee. The addition of this facility enabled Peak 10 to better meet the increasing demand for reliable enterprise class colocation and cloud services in this growing region. Skanska partnered with developers, Century investment Partners and U.S. HealthRealty, to provide the customized service of a developer backed by the wealth of knowledge and resources of an experienced mission critical contractor. In doing so, the construction of the initial building upfit was able to be overlapped with the construction of the core and shell. This bundled service offering provided a faster and more efficient delivery path. The new data center offers 20,000-SF of office and support space and 50,000-SF of data center space, which will be built out over time. The first phase of the project included the development of a 72,000-SF building with 5,000-SF of office space and 12,000-SF of data center space supported by a day one generating capacity of 5 MW.
