From 2009 to 2013 Skanska developed 150 Second Street in Kendall Square, a LEED Gold life science building. The 120,000 square foot building provides tenants with ultimate flexibility through column-free floors and lower operating costs through investment in state of-the-art mechanical systems.

Throughout the entitlement and development process for 150 Second Street, Skanska enjoyed a close working relationship with the City of Cambridge and the East Cambridge community and neighborhood associations. 150 Second Street was leased to Bluebird Bio and Foundation Medicine.
