Skanska provided construction management services for the Battery Wharf Residences and Hotel project on Boston's waterfront. Residents and guests occupy the 104 residential condominiums and 150-room luxury boutique hotel. All units feature mahogany floors throughout except in the bathrooms where the flooring is marble tile. Entry doors are mahogany burl, and smart card technology is used for the locking systems, as well as for the elevators to provide additional security to residents.
The 470,000-SF project includes four buildings, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Buildings 3 and 4, known as the pier buildings, are long six-story structures. The hotel occupies the first two floors of each building with the hotel lobby, restaurant, lounge, bar, meeting space and guestrooms. The upper four floors in both buildings house residential condominiums. On the north side of Building 3 there is a 300-LF marina. The project also includes an 18,000-SF spa and fitness center, restaurants and a below-grade parking for 376 cars.
