Sustainability case study
Peak 10, a national IT infrastructure and cloud services provider, added a fifth data center in Franklin, Tennessee. The addition of this facility enabled Peak 10 to better meet the increasing demand for reliable enterprise class colocation and cloud services in this growing region.
Skanska partnered with developer Century HealthRealty to provide the customized service of a developer backed by the wealth of knowledge and resources of an experienced mission critical contractor. In doing so, the construction of the initial building upfit could be overlapped with the construction of the core and shell. This bundled service offering provided a faster and more efficient delivery path.
The new data center will offer 20,000-SF of office and support space, and 50,000-SF of data center space, which will be built out over time. The first phase of the project included the development of a 72,000-SF building with 5,000-SF of office space and 12,000-SF of data center space supported by a day one generating capacity of 5 MW.
