QIAGEN is a global biotechnology industry leader and one of Montgomery County, Maryland’s most prominent, fast-growing companies. The 66,735-SF expansion on the Germantown campus enables the company to consolidate several key manufacturing operations and accommodate an expected 90 new jobs. Among QIAGEN products to be manufactured within the expanded facility will be the company’s flagship product: the digene HPV Test platform, a screening test that identifies women with high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infections that can cause cervical cancer. HPV testing enables diagnosis and treatment to be put in place before cervical cancer can develop. The project achieved LEED Silver certification.

Approximate total new expansion area of 62,675-SF. Phase Three: Canteen/Cafeteria ExpansionPhase Three consists of a 3,630-SF expansion to an existing cafeteria plus a loading dock.
