The Durham office is dedicated to the idea of diversity and serving the communities we build.
For nearly a century, our Carolinas/Virginia operations have been helping to shape the landscape of the communities we serve. The purpose of the Carolinas Community Outreach Committee (CCOC) is to provide opportunities for our employees to enhance the quality of life in the communities that have supported our growth as a company - the very same communities in which we live, work and play.
The committee's objectives are to create and foster a culture where employees choose to give back to their community and to identify areas where we can contribute our time and energy while representing Skanska's philosophy of caring.
Past CCOC events include the Komen Race for the Cure, Triangle Heart Walk, Stop Hunger Now – Million Meals Event, sending care packages to military personnel and Big Sweep North Carolina. We’ve also partnered with organizations including Habitat for Humanity of Durham, Communities in Schools of Wake County and the Ronald McDonald House.
We strive to provide a varied calendar of events and are very fortunate to have employees who take full advantage of the opportunities available. Our successes in giving back to our community are entirely due to their enthusiastic participation.
